my front brake on my harley wont work if you squeeze the lever slow, but fast and it does? any help please?

it has dual front brakes, i took it to a local shop and had them bleed the front system. he says it must be something in the front control. can i clean that? are do i need a new front brake cylinder. and what is the problem?

Stock brake lines?
If lines are stock, look at the printing on them carefully...what is the date code, month and year?
Has the master cylinder or calipers ever been rebuilt?
"Local Shop"....independant or dealership?
Do you know WHAT type of brake fluid they used and have you ever added brake fluid, if so, what type?

It DOES sound like you need to rebuild the master cylinder at minimum, but I need the info above to fully help you....
