Why does my car sound like a Harley?

driving home from work tonight and near my house, my car sounded like something broke and it sounds as a harley now. what do I get it fixed? I can fix it myself? Additional Details drive a 2000 mustang I have not bottomed out as I had, and I had new spark plugs put in it about 10,000 miles also when I try to accelerate the engine bogs down slightly and acts as if it wants to rise sound and go from the middle of the car around. or under my front seats
