V-Rod is right for me?

I'm in the market for a new or used little Harley. The bikes I like are the Fat Bob and the V-Rod. I weigh 260 pounds and the woman weighs 170 pounds. Above all I will be riding a mix of city and country roads and there will be a 50/50 mix of mounting one or two. V-Rod is enough comfortable for me and the wife travel around an average of 100 miles and the occasional trip of 300 miles. It is also a Fat Bob will keep me happy with speed and performance with a pipe / filter kit and reflash. I used to have a sports car with a XL1200 07 SE kit and exhaust and thought it was a bit slow for me, will be a shake fat faster than the sport?

The Vrod probably not the best bike for you. I am the same size and my girlfriend was about the same size as yours when I had mine and I can say from experience that the bike is not good for 100plus mile trip, especially two up. Last October, I shot about 350 mine miles each way to go to fall rally at Myrtle Beach and was miserable. The driving position really comes to after about 30 miles. My girlfriend, who has been sitting back seat for life, I hated riding on that bike, even with the largest after market more comfortable seat. Do not get me wrong, the VROD is a good bike for what it is designed to do, go straight through the city quickly, simply forget to take it on twisty roads. I do not know too much about the Fat Bob, but have less and Dyna models are generally too small to handle regular two horses. Both bikes will be faster your sportster 1200, but it doesn't really harley bike than the VROD that goes fast. I used to be a boy Harley enthusiast, but after trading my VROD of Fatboy, and walk test in the victory, the fat of the matter is the victory makes better bicycles for people with and my needs. It seems like they want the same things, 2 performance capable bike oriented. Unfortunately, the Motor Company doesn't do that. Do yourself a favor and go test ride a victory, any Vegas, Kingpin, or step lightly more Cross Roads. Ill put it this way. be a hardcore harley type, after spending 10 minutes on a capo, I sold my Fatboy and bought one. It is simply a better bike, and is slightly cheap too. Not to mention you will not have any reliability issues affecting Harleys. My boss beat the Harleys as in almost all categories except maximum speed on the VROD (my victim is governed to 128 mph).
