how do i stop my 4 year old son hassling his 8 month brother?

my 8 month old son (Harley) is really quiet & a good boy when he watches television, and chews the remote control, if thats how i put it lol! so i put him in his chair to watch tv while i make some dinner and my 4 year old (Zachary) usually colours or plays with his toys in his room, however, Zach keeps on poking Harley in his tummy gently and always takes the remote from him and sends Zach screaming & crying. I've told him to stop it but he doesn't ever listen !! i just sit there usually and watch them and Harley just goes up to him and pokes him and takes the remote control off of him. l've tried telling him, but he won't listen.. Any suggestions?.

So it sounds like Zack has figured out a way to get attention from Mommy! If you don't want him doing this (duh) then explain to him that the next time he does it, he will go to his naughty chair/room/wherever his punishment spot is and set the timer for 4 minutes. When that time is up, you tell him to apologize to you and his brother and give him a hug. He has to learn that there are consequences for his behavior - just telling him not to do it means nothing after awhile when there's nothing to back it up. Also - if you don't have a naughty spot set up for him, now would be a good time to think of one (wink wink)
