1996 Harley Davidson FXDS-Convertable speedometer issues!?

I have a 96 Harley FXDS-Convertable W/electronic speedometer & Tachometer.I was shifting from 2nd.to 3rd.gear when my speedometer went to 75mph.Then it bottomed out to 0 then this number appeared on my odometer 99AA99.A. I checked out my wiring under the saddle & everything looked good and clean,no bad connections etc.I put a new speed sensor on it,thinking that that was the problem. I turned the ignition switch on & the same # appears on the odometer.I started my bike & it starts just fine & rides OK. But now my speedometer needle doesn't work,trip meter,odometer & my turn signal canceler !!! other than the #99AA99A stays on the odometer. Could it be that my speedometer went out?Or is this a code to a more severe problem? Any help from all of you riders out there would be greatly helpful !

The problem isn't the speedometer. You have some kind of control unit malfunction. I think you will need your H-D dealer's diagnostics to sort this out.
