How to properly check the oil on a 2003 Harley Sportster?

What is the proper method to check the oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluids on a 2003 Harley Sportster?

The above answer is INCORRECT......the ONLY HD's that get checked on the side stand are models that have a swivel dipstick!!!!
That guy doesn't know his A$$ from a hole in the ground....he is a dipstick!!!
THE FACTORY SPECIFIED METHOD is engine at operating temp....bike upright and level, pull dipstick, wipe of, reinsert, pull it back out and read level on dipstick, add oil as needed to bring to full mark.......generally...about 1/2' from bottom of filler neck.

Scooter's answer below is right on, on how to check the other fluids. You should take note though, your bike is an '03, HD recommends that the brake lines be replaced every 5 years, does your bike still have the facotry lines? Lokk on the lines, you will see a date code printed on them, if 5 years old, they SHOULD be replaced, your brakes WILL feel alot more solid. Keep an eye on how EVENLY the front and rear brakes pads are wearing, if they are thinner in one spot or another, it's time to replace the caliper piston seals also....HD's brake leave alot to be desired, they do require constant checking and repairs.

Note: I see you asked about tire pressures also..........you should REALLY invest in a FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL!!!
It will tell you EVRYTHING you need to know!!! Stay away from Clymer and Haynes, etc...they are CRAP!!!
